All Andi Parker ever wanted, all she's ever dreamed of, is a spot on the Olympic track team. But when an accident leaves her hospitalised with serious injuries and shattered dreams, she's not only uncertain what her future holds but also completely alone.
Drew Slater is a wanted man. Professional football teams want him for his arm. women want him for his good looks and magnetic personality. but the well-crafted disguise he wears, the one that helps him score on and off the field, hides secrets. Conceals, lies. Threatens the happiness of everyone around him.
Once chance encounter brings Andi and Drew together, changing their worlds in ways they never thought possible. Unfortunately, what they thought they knew about themselves - and about each other - might just be the biggest lie of all!

Since Drew was totally not what I expected... yet still kinda liked it. I thought it would be a simple little story about a man helping a woman after a horrific accident and gradually falling in love. I was both right and completely WRONG!

Since Drew is told from the first person point of view of Andi. This gives us a brilliant insight into how she deals with her accident and losing her chance at the Olympics. We see her struggle to come to terms with it and also her pure determination to get back on her feet. We also witness quite a drastic change in her personality. Before her accident Drew appears to be extremely cocky: "not nearly as wonderful as me - just saying". But then, she becomes rather unsure of herself. Of course, her running was probably the one thing in which she excels in and to have that taking away would be soul destroying to anyone. However, I also feel that if I was Andi I would have totally lost my cool if I was told I probably wouldn't run again. Especially right before the Olympics. I would be sobbing and screaming. Andi appeared to take the news in her stride somewhat.

I quite liked Drew. However, he was a bit of an anomaly to me. He seems like a great guy before the first plot twist. But then he turns into your average football playing player. I mean he propositions Andi virtually straight away. Then we find out that he doesn't like being a football player, he just does it to keep his family happy. Drew's such a strong character that I don't quite understand why he can't stand up to his family.

I had a few issues with Andi and Drew's relationship. They kept mentioning how much they "hated" each other. Yet they were together almost every day and slept together. And Andi told Drew that she hated him a lot. Maybe their relationship will turn into a "can't live with each other, can't live without each other" relationship.

There are two major plot twists in Since Drew. The first totally threw me to the side, however I felt it could have been explained so much better - it was just sort of shoved in with little explanation and no conclusion. I expected the second plot twist, however it was dealt with extremely well and showcased all the right thoughts, feelings and pain that you would expect when confronted with something of that nature. Combined the plot twists took Since Drew into a completely different direction to what I thought the story would be and in a way it was quite brilliant.

All in all, I did like Since Drew. It was an enjoyable read. I just had a few issues with the plot twists and their relationship. The characters were likeable enough but I didn't love them. In saying that, I would recommend Since Drew to women looking for a quick romance read.

Feature and Follow (29 May)

The Feature & Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Parajunkee of  Parajunkee’s View  and Alison of  Alison Can Read . Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it’ll allow us to show off more new blogs! I'm one of the featured blogs this week! Along with Amanda of  The Darling Bookworm . This week’s Question: How many books have you got on your TBR list? I recently had a bit of a cull of my TBR list so now it is sitting at 269. I'm trying my hardest to get it below 200 by the end of the year but I really don't see it happening. I'd currently be happy if I managed to get it below 225. However, I did recently have a look through my TBR on Goodreads and deleted a few books that I don't think I will actually ever read - I'm not even to sure how they got there anyway.
